Bitter Kola (also known as Kola Nut and Bissey Nut in the Caribbean) is considered an aphrodisiac and ergogenic herb in Africa and preputedly rich in antioxidants and traditionally known and used for increasing energy in general, sexual energy in particular.
Bitter Kola has been traditionally used to increase sex drive and improve sexual performace among men.
For women, consumption of the herb may help enhance the sexual experience and counter sexual fatigue. It is reputed by African tribals to be helpful for headaches.
Additionally, the herb is reputedly a powerful nervous system stimulant to African locals, reputedly containing bio-active caffeine which is natural caffeine (and non-addictive). It is also believed to be an effective heart tonic (cardio tonic) and thermogenesis stimulant for calorie burning for purposes of weight loss; plus, it's also considered an immune system booster and believed to be anti-malarial and antiviral.
A little history about Bitter Kola that many people don't know about is that the first cola soft drink, Coca Cola, was invented in 1800 by mixing the extracts of kola and coca with sugar, carbonated water and several other ingredients. Cola is a variant spelling of Kola.
